Juha spends his time off on hobbies with his school-age daughters, and on endurance sports. Forestry work often takes the place of the gym or a long jog.
Juha holds a master’s degree in food sciences. Before Foodwest, Juha worked for a long time in the meat industry as a head of production, as well as in development, quality control and work safety positions, and at the Finnish Meat Research Centre before that. Juha, along with Markku and Martti, is responsible for overseeing the carcass grading system in Finland. He is also an expert in occupational research and safety.
