Shopper studies focus on consumer choice inside the store. How does the consumer perceive their environment, what attracts their attention, is the product noticed on the shelf, what determines the choice? These are typical research questions for shopper studies. Studies can be conducted in the store, in a realistic environment with genuine choosing situations, or alternatively, as a shelf simulation in which the selection is visualised using a shelf created for the study.
